2017 PRACTICE/COMPETITION SCHEDULE:

Safety training session at Dover Middle School swimming pool Wednesday, May 24 from 7:15-8:30pm

Wednesdays, 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Selected Saturdays, 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Schedule (subject to change) - athletes will be contacted individually if there are changes/cancellations in the schedule

June 10, 14, 21, 24, 28
July 5, 8, 12, 15* (competition with Adams County), 19, 26
August 9, 16, 23

*Athletes planning on participating on July 15 must complete six training sessions prior to the competition.

Maryland state competition requires qualification in September. Competition is held usually the first week of October

LOCATIONS: Gifford Pinchot State Park, Boat Launch Area #3, located on Alpine Road, Lewisberry, PA and Lake Williams. Coaches will contact all athletes to determine at which site we will meet.

DIRECTIONS to Gifford Pichot State Park: from York go north on PA Rt. 74, through Dover, right on Alpine Rd. to Boat Launch Area #3 on left.

To get detailed directions go to www.dcnr.state.pa.us, click on Find a Park and search for Gifford Pinchot. From that site you can find a map to get directions, or you can contact one of the coaches.

DIRECTIONS to William Kain Park (Lake Williams): Take South George St. to Jacobus. Turn onto Water St. and go 0.5 miles. Entrance to park is marked by a sign on the right side of road. For more detailed directions you can find them at yorkcountypa.gov/parks-recreation, click on Parks and choose William Kain Park.

PLEASE NOTE: Kayak availability is limited. You must be able to swim to participate in this sport. We are limited in the number of athletes able to participate. We are not accepting any more athletes at this time, but athletes can be placed on a waiting list. Please contact one of the coaches if you are interested in participating. Athletes with their own kayaks are welcome to participate.
